Aokumo Completes SOC 2® Type 1 Examination

Aokumo has completed its SOC 2® Type 1 examination, covering controls relevant to security for Aokumo AI.

The examination is an important milestone as we continue building Aokumo AI for enterprise production environments, where security, governance, and accountability are fundamental requirements.

Building trust for AI in production

AI agents are moving beyond answering questions and generating recommendations. They are increasingly being used to investigate incidents, interact with infrastructure, and take actions across production environments.

As the actions AI can take become more consequential, the controls around those actions become just as important as the intelligence behind them.

Aokumo AI is built around this principle, with controls for human approval, policy enforcement, execution identity, verification, rollback, and auditability.

About our SOC 2® examination

Aokumo’s SOC 2® Type 1 examination covers controls relevant to the Security Trust Services Criteria for Aokumo AI.

The examination was performed by Prescient Assurance LLC, an independent CPA firm. The report evaluates the suitability of the design of Aokumo’s controls as of August 21, 2026.

SOC examinations are not certifications, so we intentionally describe this milestone as the completion of our SOC 2® Type 1 examination.

Continuing the journey

Completing our SOC 2® Type 1 examination is not the end of our security work. We will continue monitoring our controls, collecting evidence, and strengthening our security and compliance program as Aokumo AI grows.
